2019 BMW 1 Series Rumors and Review – BMW’s future A-Class competitor is slowly but surely undressing to expose a sleeker and at the same time, more imposing look compared to the current iteration.
Thanks to this particular prototype putting on less camo in advance, we get a far greater look at the size of the kidney grille, as well as the front bumper design, albeit just on the still left aspect of the car.
Rumor has it, BMW will stop offering the 1-Series as a 3-door model after the 2019 car drops, concentrating only on the 5-door hatchback, much like Audi has decided to do with the 2019 A3 hatch – and what Mercedes have done all combined with the A-Class.
2019 BMW 1 Series Redesign
Let’s start with the headlights. The last prototype we saw didn’t give us a good look, but these times we can find out almost everything. For starters, the 1 Series will ditch the headlight design of the newer BMW’s and go along with an individual LED projection unit that is attached just about in the center of the zoom lens. We can’t find out the LED strips which will be in the lights, but predicated on the camo they’ll be along the very best and lower edges. The aspect/corner markers will also feature a clear zoom lens with amber reflectors and bulbs, so that will be a nice, Euro-like touch. Certainly, BMW can have just made these decoys look really nice to chuck us off, so try not to take that too much to center quite yet.
There’s really no revealing to what BMW will do for the interior of the next-gen 1 Series, but we may have a hint because of the recently released 1 Series sedan for the Chinese market. It’s based on the current-gen model but was kept up to date to own its very own look inside. Therefore, BMW could quickly use this interior, or a derivative than it, for the next-gen 1 Series hatchback. Set alongside the current 1 Series, the dash will be a bit smoother with redesigned lean, while a reworked, two-gauge instrument cluster will serve as the centerpiece prior to the driver. The steering wheel should shrink in proportions a bit thanks to an inferior air bag unit, as the thumb keys on the tyre should be sophisticated.
2019 BMW 1 Series Specs
The new 1 Series will reportedly borrow engines from the existing little and the X1 range. The standard models will most likely include a 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel or a three-cylinder turbo petrol unit. The rest of the range will feature 2-litre four-cylinder petrol in 120i guise or a 2-0 litre diesel engine in the 120d.
2019 BMW 1 Series Release Date and Price
The new 1 Series is likely to go on sale around late 2018 or early on 2019 and may cost approximately the same as the outgoing model. A fresh 2 Series, based on the same new front-wheel-drive system, should be released in 2019 in both coupe and convertible guises.
